On March 24, 2012, Pi Phi paired up with Fiji and spent Saturday participating in The Big Event! The Big Event is the largest student-run service project in the nation. Any Bryan or College Station resident can request a job with Big Event and over 17,000 student volunteers spend one Saturday painting fences, weeding garden beds, picking up fallen branches, and doing all sort of other odd jobs for the community. Nine Pi Phis were involved in coordinating Big Event as staff and committee members and nearly 90 students in the Pi Phi/Fiji group actually participated in the event. It is truly an amazing Aggie tradition and we feel honored to join in saying THANK YOU to the Bryan/College Station community!
